News on Update 0.1.1


Hello everyone!

I'm planning to possibly change the engine version of the game as I'm having some really annoying bugs right now. If all goes well in testing the game will be developed on the newer version of unity. In other info about Meat Engine, I'm working hard on the new update with the new weapon almost finished and the new level being grey boxed right now. I'm also planning some other small fixes and changes for this update. This includes changes to how objects reference each other and how some of the physics work on the player. I'm also planning to soon update the steam page with a more in depth showcase of the game.

There are also some more balance changes coming:

- I'm changing the crossbow to work as it was originally intended to function(as a shotgun)

- The melee weapon is getting a buff to its range and healing, making it more useful in later levels

- Changes to player movement on slope, I'm changing the way players move over uneven terrain so you are no longer slowed down by slopes.

Other content planned for the new update:

- New level E1M2 [The Citadel]

- 2 new enemies

- New weapon

- New environmental hazards

- Changes and streamlining to existing levels

Far off planned content(most likely wont be in the next update)

- NPCs

- Side quests

- Sub arenas in levels

- New environmental hazards, challenges and enemies for the sub arenas

-Some kind of implementation for the story for the game


For now this and the steam page all I'm working on, I don't really have a release date for this next update as its much larger than the V0.1 release. That being said stay tuned for more updates on progress and screenshots!
